    Battery Acid

    I had a battery turn over in my bass boat. It was a few days before I found it. The acid was in storage area and hull. I poured baking soda in and washed it with soap and water. Is there anything I could have or should have done? Thanks RC

    Not Charging

    tach died

    Took my boat to the lake a few days ago and the tach quit working. Where should I start first? When I ran down the lake it was showing 6000 rpm's and that is not right it has always run 5600 rpm's. I looked down again and it was not working.Any ideas??<br />It is a 1989 Evinrude XP150.     skip or a miss

    I have a 1989 Evenrude XP150.Carbs have been rebuilt and has a new power pack. It runs great at WOT about 5600 rpm.     oil dripping on back of motor

    Well I noticed oil had run down the bottom of the motor. I took cover off motor and it looks like it has leaked out the bottom of a flat cover that is between the cylinders.     High speed miss

    Speed bump????????

    Went to the lake today and was running up lake WOT<br />and it was like we lost 5 to 8 mph for just a couple of seconds. The motor never lost or gained rpm.It happened twice. We had a head wind and chop in the water. It was like a very strong under current just slowed us down. Any ideas????

    weak fuel pump?????

    Could a weak fuel pump cause the motor to run lean at WOT and still run 5600rpm.At lower rpm<br />the spark plugs burn normally.
