Cranked the boat the other day and the motor turned over and burnt the hot on post on the battery and melted the lead around it... Any idea on where to start... Short etc..
I have a 2000 Johnson 90 with the optical ignition system. Its on a 25' Crest pontoon.. I have been having issues with it surging or cutting out so to speak... I have cleaned and checked the fuel filter... Tried pumping the bulb when it did this with no difference... It has done it low and high...
I am in need of a new prop. Engine is a Johnson 90 2 stroke on a 24' pontoon. I do pull a double tube sometimes... current prop is 14x13... Is this best to put back or will something else benefit me better
I have a 2000 Crest pontoon.. with a 2000 johnson 90... when riding the engine all of sudden speed up and slow back down... Mechanic changed plugs last yeat but still does it... seems like its worse after riding for awhile and at lower speeds... Almost seems like ignition trouble... I am no boat...
