I need a foot/lower unit for a 1976 Mercury 850 85 hp w/ Thunderbolt ignition. Any suggestions on where to find one? I am looking on ebay and I have found some, but, I am not sure which ones are interchangeable. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

I acquired an antique 1959 Thompson 16' Seacoaster that needs to be restored. It has the original motors still mounted on the transom. There are 2 Johnson Seahorse 35 hp outboards. Would it be more cost effective to have the motors reworked or sell them and get a newer model?
