    1967 20 hp kill switch

    I have continuity between my kill switch wires. If I stick a continuity tester on the ends of the two wires, I get a light. I don't know totally how the kill switch works, but I'm guessing this is not normal. Any guesses? thanks!

    '67 lurching/backfire when running

    1967 20hp johnson starts fine idles ok Runs fine but every minute or so pops/lurches and the whole boat shutters. It feels like I hit a submerged rock or something. I assume this is a backfire. It is violent enough that I'm getting jittery about running it at all. any guesses? new points...
