    20 hp. Evinrude caughing

    I recently acquired a 20 hp. Evinrude that caughs quit a lot at idle and a little above. I took apart the carb. and cleaned ( it looked good )and installed new plugs and gapped according to manual, does anyone know what is causing this, and how to fix?<br />Thankyou, any help greatly appreciated.

    OMC Tach setting

    When my reg/rec. went bad I first messed with the settings on the tach.I don't remember where it was. I know that it should be on 6 but mine has only 1-4 settings, its a Medallion(1985)tach and 1985 175 Johnson. Does anyone know what number it should be set on? Thankyou for any help.

    I had a bad reg/rect.for awhile and finally fixed.I took the boat out and wot rpm was 4700 trimed out for max rpm.I do have the low compression head gasket and set the timing at 28 deg.(stock 34 deg.)The compression is 90-94 all cylinders,and good spark(at idle)The rpm used to be about...
