Hi, I just purchased a 150 XR4 and need help trying to find out the year it was born. The serial # is A138898. This is the one stamped on the mid section clamp. Also the motor is not getting any fire on either side. Where do I start?

Hello all,
I need to find out the water line route on this motor. I just purchased new thermostats and the motor is running cold. I was looking at it yesterday and from what I've been reading the little valve on the throttle linkage puts pressure on the back of the tstats to hold them closed...
Can anyone give me the part # for the thermostats in this motor? I also would like to know if the VRO pump on this motor is the same as a 1992 Evinrude 70.

What is the correct spark plug for this motor? I just got the motor from a friend and he installed spark plugs out of a 200 evinrude around the same year. The motor will miss on a load and not get on plane. It is on a 1996 170DC Nitro.
Any help will be appreciated.
