Second time I had the boat in the water, we're chugging along just fine when all of a sudden there's a loud "WHEEEEE!!" noise coming from the sterndrive and the boat comes to a stop.
The boat went straight to the shop, and the mechanic wanted a grand to replace the upper drive shafts. Heh...

Interior with seats removed. The strip between the seat platforms is the width of the deck that I'll need to replace. Not really a lot of wood there. I haven't stripped the carpet off the seat platforms, but they seem to be fiberglass...

Hehe, thanks. Restoration is something I really enjoy, especially when I can turn something back into mint condition. I have a matching 1985 John Deere 210 that I've been restoring. It's just right for dragging the boat around the yard.
