    ok. Mine are plastic… which may be why I’m doing this project. I’ll make sure I pull those out then replace them with the metal tubes. As for the core bond, can I just cut through that? When I replace it, do you just speckle it back on like putty or should I reglass that area?

    Yes. Finally tracked one down at a marina about an hour away. Plan on taking the drive shaft to him and get the measurement in the shop.

    I thought so too... already ordered one. Still looking around locally for someone to get a shim measurement for my new pinion gear. Cheapest Omc shim tool I could find is around $300 :( Any tricks you may know for getting an accurate shim measurement without that tool?

    Waiting on my drive shaft socket to remove the pinion gear and pull everything. Should be here later this week. I’ll post updated pics then. Thanks.
