CPES, 2 layers of thin cloth and west system epoxy and fairing started . 20074465-A9DD-498C-9116-C366E9216CB7.jpeg113A8735-AE8B-4F49-8EC7-EC4F5BA00530.jpeg02C47C1E-DCA3-4CD3-AE0B-CF11A96547EC.jpeg
Concrete finish trowel was the weapon of choice . I’ll sand this down then tighten up the edges . Then see what we got.. I have decided to just paint the bow that was originally white ribbed vinyl.
Satin paint no gloss on this .

bandsaw will help
Good idea . I don’t have one ..That gives me a reason find one . Been looking for a used resaw / bandsaw reasonable. No luck so far . Just don’t see spending a pile on something I may need one time .

My old band saw was for sale a year ago when my bud was moving, it's now up in Connecticut. I can check around

HF has a Bauer for $180. Supposedly new model. Might be an economical option.

The way I matched the curved rear cover boards was I made a cardboard template of the original about every foot or so . Then I sanded the curve down at each point to match the template. Then just removed material from each section till I got it close . Once I got my system down it worked fairly well .

Been working a bit on the trailer and did get it set on the trailer . Pulled it out to get some sun today and a bit of cleanup in the shed .
Feels great to be at this point . Plenty more to do though . I have a guy making me a new aluminum fuel tank . Should be done in about a week .

Thanks Mike ! Good to hear from you . I just turned 60 but my back and knees feel more like 80 . 😂
The shoulders aren’t that great either .
Picking up the tank tomorrow!
Now I got to learn about sending units , vents , pickups , and stopping corrosion.
Gotta figure out a bilge blower system also .
