I have a busy spring ahead of me. 1996 Donzi LXC 3250 twin 5.7 B3. I'm planning on replacing the bellows and lower shift cable on my boat this spring. I received the new 8M0095485 kits from quicksilver.

As a side note. I'm also replacing both upper steering pins with Hill marine stainless pins due to a leaky seal on the starboard side. I'll be cutting the access holes in the transom assembly using the JR marine cover kits.

It uses the new hose style. I'll update this thread with more info once I start the job.

For now, I'm putting together a tool list. What tools will I need to do this job? There is not allot of info online for the new bellows kit (specifically the new hose install). Any advice you guys have for me would be appreciated.

So far I have:

Hinge pin tool
Hose insert tool
Shift cable adjustment tool 91-12427T
Bearing puller/install tool
Bellows expander
bellows retaining ring tool
B3 prop nut sockets (Both)
gimbal alignment bar

Could save on the exhaust install tube and use a exhaust tube instead of exhaust bellows, but doing that makes the exhaust a tad bit louder on plane

Use a piece of the old shift cable to use on the end of a string to pull through new cable back in

Upper and lower bushings can be removed with slide hammer or the right size sockets and bolt and nut

The Bravo shift cable adjustment tool is nice to get it close but many times the final adjustment is done later.
