Boat cushions

I was looking, I needed to replace the back seat cushions for the ski boat talked to a local apolstry shop there was sticker shock and a 4 month lead time. Found a guy on the e-bay custom cushions in a week and a fraction of the cost. Instead of $3000 I will pay $300 for two cushions. Don't need a Mastercraft logo on it.

Sometimes you get what you pay for.....3K down to 300....something has to be given up !!

I use a few local upholstery guys. If I cut the substrate and foam, all I pay is for the sewing and vinyl

My working relationship with my upholstery guy is I get him stuff or do some minor work he needs and he takes care of me. Long standing family friend and does a lot of OE work too. Yes, I'm lucky. Quality work is hard to find.

Check around the local old car clubs, most have an upholstery guy that does extra work on the side for pocket money. These guys are usually far cheaper than anyone with a " boat or marine" in the name. I have used these guys a few times and their work has been very good and prices was right, especially in their off season !

I will get the cushion on Monday it is pretty basic but will cover the back bench. Keep in mind this is not a boat made to haul people it is a ski boat the front passenger seat is an observers seat that faces backwards. She ain't built for comfort she is built for power and speed. When the boat is being used the pontoon is out and anchored that holds the coolers etc usually just two in the towboat.

find a local seamstress i bought the foam myself and had my seamstress sew them up with fabric i bought 3 large v berth cushons less then 200 dol labor
