Frenchtown is over the bridge and only about 20 miles from Lake Nockamixon a lake I hit several times a week. I’ve crossed the bridge and visited Frenchtown countless times over the years. Some good eats over there.

Way back in time Lake Nockamixon had fantastic White Bass schools. Sometimes the beavers would have Rabies.

I fished there pretty much since it was built. I never caught a white bass, not to say they were never there. That said there is a fantastic population of hybrid stripers, that can be confused for white bass.
For this area it is a good lake for quality LM and SM bass. Not easy to fish. Lots of good anglers get humbled out there.

Decades ago I had a flock of 20 ? roost every night in the tall trees behind the house. Miss that.
Seems that all the small farms have stopped planting & done the state program of no taxes if owners will land to the state at their deaths.
No crops. No wild life. Sad

Completely different than here.

To get land preservation taxing for large parcels of land, you must be actively farming (crops and or anaimals) or doing some form of conservation work on the property.

We have 10 acres in woodland habitat and raise horses on the rest.
Tax status is transferable to the next property owner.

Hang on guys.
I'm gonna go check the Shroud of Turin for any dna evidence.
Wouldn't that be something, playing god by bringing back ......
Nah, nevermind. Gonna stop there before I'm instantly sent straight to hell.
