I made a new set of solid core spark plug wires for this engine, but had to reuse the boots that go on the distributor cap. Got a new CDI electronics amplifier and coil. I was able to see at least a spark jump a 1/2" at the coil wire. Put everything back together and cranked and checked for spark at the plugs and found nothing. Turned all the lights off in the shop! (pitch dark).
Cranked it over and seen spark jumping from all the plug wire boots at the dist. cap! I ordered new boots and i'm considering using silicone dielectric where the wires screw in. Will this help or is there something else in the boating world that would be better?
