I don't understand my 150 h mariner isn't pushing the boat I went out for the 2nd time. Lots of power,it has electric start electricity motor tilt. I was playing with motor tilt.still goes like 10 miles and hour.

second, is this a new to you boat, or an old boat with a new problem?

next, how old is the fuel?

What is compression on all cylinders?

How did you determine it has " lots of power " ?-----Year or serial # ?----Post actual compression test values.----Does spark jump a gap of 3/8" on each lead ?----Water pump serviced ?-----Oil injection in service?----Mixing gas / oil at 50:1 in the tank?.----Overheat horn tested?-----Slipping propeller ?
