Got the service manual in and as near as I can tell I does not cover the 4 cyl 50hbp shift linkage. But with my limited brain function, a close but not quite 40 hp video and the manual covering other models I figured out how to get the two out and replace them. I'll keep old attached and looped up out of the way until it's time. Or may cut them off.

Got a kid of a customer of mine coming over to finish the foam out, 100 bucks well spent imo. He's 23, smart kid but a dumb... if you know what I mean. Good kid overal, curious, willing to learn and he likes my cooking so all good there. While he's doing that I'll be looping up the old wiring harneses.

Looking forward to hoses. I will be reinstating the live well, any best hoses to use? Same for bilge pumps I assume. What about fuel, same question of best. Obviously I want all underdeck to be worry free.

With all the rain haven't done anything on the boat last few days and since today was a perfectly beautiful day I had to play adult. I did get all the wiring harneses pulled back to the splashwell and coiled up so out of the way. Tomorrow will pull all the water hoses.

yeah spent a week in FL couch surfing and this whole spring get the house and pool and everything ready really eats into my time. Tornadoes and such slow me down as well. Oh, and been looking at a 75hp....

Tomorrow i'm playing hooky from work to get ready for an initial float test.
