Motor rapidly started to slow down from 3/4 throttle 200 feet from the dock.
I restarted it a dozen times and docked it. Thought it was the fuel pump. It ran a little each time I squeezed the bulb And then FULL choke the engine. 3 second run each time. Buy a true Evinrude kit. Open pump on a white towel. Diaphragm is completely stretched out. Several tiny springs, valves and other bits fall out. I had a nervous attack suddenly. Take all the old and new parts to my dealer.
$ 100 dollars later. It is running STRONG instantly. It was the pump. I also had him check the timing. Just in case the key was going. Support your brand of motors. Butch is the best there is.
