Short vhf antenna

Anyone know which vhf antenna is out there to fit this mount bracket? Currently has Shakespeare vhf antenna now. Need something shorter to fit under center console cover. Maybe one of the skinny metal pole ones? Need to be around 2 ft or less

About every VHF antenna out there will fit it. Short, medium, tall all use same mount

You have a standard universal mount, any antenna should fit. Sounds like you are limited in antennas just remember it will affect the range of your transmitting and reception.

remember, short antennas are pretty much useless for reaching any distance.

for VHF, you want the tallest antenna you can afford. the longer the antenna, the greater (higher) the gain

that mount allows you to fold the antenna down when you put the cover on.

Other option is to cut a hole in the cover for the antenna.The bass group but i'm having trouble finding a grommet big enough to put in that hole

Move the antenna mount so it can be folded down out of your way when you cover it....

I use a long base loaded antenna. Fold down under the boat cover. If I need it ? I want maximum range of a long antenna.
Way back there were 2 piece. screw together units.

I have twin 8’ antennas on my hardtop. The 2” grommets worked well
