Had an argument on the freeway with a cable guard $21,750.00 worth of damage. Rather stimulating to hydroplane on the freeway at 79 MPH. did a 360 before I hit the ditch no idea how that Silverado did not roll.

I have seen those cables cut thru Corvettes. Glad you're still with us

Glad nobody was hurt….my first and only accident (age 17) was a tangle with a cable guard as well.

While I currently own one, I’m not a fan of pickups in adverse conditions. The best vehicle I’ve owned for adverse conditions was a 2002 4WD Tahoe.

That is why I drive a big truck. Truck is totaled. Crazy thing GM has incentives I can get a 2025 Silverado for $4000 less than what my 2021 cost.

Glad you’re not injured!
Yep and it’ll have the biggest abomination GM ever did to the small block it’s called AFM/ DFM. You can get a disabler after market.
A kid when I was growing up had the top of his head taken off by a cable riding his dirt bike.

I love my new truck, the thing pretty much drives it's self if you want it to, I prefer to be in control. I got a Silverado Z71 RST hope it is as good as my last Silverado 197,000 trouble free miles still had the original front brake pads on it all I did was change fluids.

Oil changes, brakes and tires make for a reliable "any vehicle"

I tell people who go car/truck shopping to talk with independant mechanics who do the maintenance. Mechanics will tell you in a heartbeat which new vehicles to avoid.

I have done a few unplanned 360's and they are not fun. Make sure the cable guard rail is still allowed and sized right. I was a road commisioner for a time and there are guardrail standards for height and support spacing...... might mention that to the insurance company
