Hi, i can't get my control to move throttle on motor. Green moves freely by hand, red feels stuck, and yellow is tight. Throttle control moves nothing.

I'm completely new at this, but really want to get this up and running. 2027.jpg

The red lever on primer valve is in the wrong position.----And what are you using to operate the throttle.-----The small lever or the main lever.-----Perhaps find a manual or a coach on how to operate the motor and the control box.

racerone - thanks for the reply
Neither the main lever or warm-up lever moves anything in the motor.
If the red lever is now at 5 o'clock, what position should it live in?

Anybody have any leads on a manual?

Or coach?

The red lever on the electric primer valve should be inline with the valve body for the " run " position.---Pointing to the back of the motor.-----Do a complete evaluation of this motor before spending any beer tokens on it.

Either your throttle/shift cables are froze up or your timer plate is. Remove the cables from the engine and see if the cables move freely with the control box.

Post your results.

Motor looks like it needs lots of work. Post a picture of your entire outboard.
