Ok my pontoon came with two different props it’s a 2000 50hp evinrude E50PL4SS, the first prop is a 13x11 I slide the prop all the way on there is no splines hanging out to slide the spacer on to so it’s just flat up against the prop hub but not on the splines but the cotter pin seems to fit as it should(1st pics) the second prop is a 11 /3/8 x 14 and the spacer slides onto the splines on this one but the nut screws so far down that the cotter pin sets out in front of the nut(2nd set of pics) which is correct?

Can't quite tell but Michigan props have their own thrust washer...I recently padded one out using stainless steel washers modified by me to fit over the shaft.

Proprietary system and could be your problem.

I think I’m gonna order a 11 5/8 x 12 prop, which is what Suzuki calls for and see how that one fits

What is the WOT Rpm Range for your engine, and what Rpm were you getting @WOT from the 13x11 Prop?

Isnt that splined spacer supposed to go on behind the prop ( hence the splines ) , then prop , then plain washer , nut and split pin . Either way the prop that leaves all the thread exposed is either the wrong one or it needs another spacer . how does it line up with the gear case ?

Nope--Splined washer does NOT go in front of the prop!------The splined washer is shown in the CORRECT place.----As stated that is an EVINRUDE part.----Not sure that splined washer is a SUZUKI part.

Makes no difference what prop Suzuki recomends....the wot rpm is needed to know if a pitch change is needed. No sense buying a prop with the wrong pitch, unless you enjoy spending money foolishly.

from years back seems I had an 11 incher on my Merc 50 and it did rev high so that prop was my sky prop and 13 was my regular prop. If you have a tach just run it at wot no more... ( check your specs for WOT...)

I did get a few hundred more rpm out of the 13x11 around 5500

13 inch diam. would seem large but up to you. you can also ask ChatGPT for suggestions.
