The black and yellow wire are energized if the temperature is out of range. I can hook that up to the existing siren, and as an added bonus you can monitor the exact operating temperature.

i have literally dozens of fully tested used 200f temp senders. they came in basically every motor from 1978 or so on up through late 80's when the charged to the tan/blue stripe which was around 240f. i usually replace the 240f ones with the solid tan 200f. the quickstart ones are impossible to find new but used look for junk heads on ebay with the sensor still in it. the tan temp wire just ground it to the block with the key on and see if it screams?
