Quick Update . . .
I was over at the shop yesterday . . . The steering parts arrived on Friday so the work is proceeding. I'm hoping to have the boat by Friday of this week, but we shall see.
I gave the re-power shop the trim tabs to install, since they can probably do it at the tail-end of their re-power work. I'm also having them install the trim pieces that I made for the corners of the extension bracket.
The weight shift has been pretty substantial with the engines mounted; I weighed the tongue @ 300 lbs. So, they are going to 'slide' the boat forward about 1 foot into the bow stop. ( I had moved the boat back to reduce the tongue weight for towing the boat over there)
I took a quick look at the propellers (still in the boxes). Honda 16x19 Stainless steel 3-blade. They looked like the Mercury Mirage prop that I had on my Formula 242. . . .big blade area.
Once I get the boat in the water and have a couple of hours on the clock, the re-power guy (Mike) will do the in-water testing and tuning. They will want to check the WOT RPM & speed, tune the joystick, and a few other things. I'll want to pick a day with flat water, which is often a rarity.
