finally, the seasonal shakedown cruise

Life sure has been busy this last 12 months or so...


Battery was at 4v, a night on my fancy charger got into the mid 13.
Kicked over in the drive, too far away from house for muffs
Semi new to me ramp, pegged it
Started mostly fine as any old gal getting woke up from her long nap
Hull speed for about 10 min while i set myself up
Reached for my perfectly made hard salami and extra sharp cheddar (slivered onions) on a sourdough roll. Left it on the kitchen table.
On plane and did my usual run waaaay up the northern arm of the lake, almost in town. personal best distance - prob could have made more but left the quest for another day. Lots of water for this time of year.
Interacted with a ghost in a kayak (that's another post)
Ran back to my picnic spot when i want a shore lunch, plus good swimming area.
swam, stood with a beer, peed relaxed.
Storms started getting closer and multiplying so headed in. Good three to four hours.

our 18/20 anniversary so she took off today and we are replicating, but this time i will remember my sandwich plus we are grilling. Smoked sausage and some roadside corn i picked up on the way home yesterday.

NICE !

Roadside corn is my favorite. Picked some up from one of the local farms last night. It’s so good.

Brought some on our 18/20 anniversary lake day. on the fire it was sweeter, a bit more chewy. Boiled last night tender as hell

i brought premade salt/pepper/garlic butter and we put in a ziplock with the cooked corn. Heaven

and after all the shakedown and testing and planning, we got towed back to a ramp. Buddy came and got me to the car on the other side of the lake. We are home, frozen pizza for supper. Was supped to be my fresh made, aint gonna happen i'm beat.
