So my bubble buster ended up with hardened epoxy on it. Everything says that you cannot soften cured epoxy very easily. Well after an hour soaking in lacquer thinner, it does get soft. My BB is now just like new and just in time for rolling out deck work.

If it's all metal, just toss in an oven at 300. We had some lab equipment you had to epoxy a test sample to. When finished you had to clean/remove the epoxy from the plate. Due to the chemical structure of "epoxy" they soften under moderate heat and you can clean them. Ethanol works well with softening epoxy as well.

I keep a few on-hand while doing fiberglass projects. that way I can toss any out that get locked up by hardened resin.

I keep a container of acetone in arms reach whenever I’m rolling. It goes into the tub constantly. So far I’ve got ten years on the same rollers. When completely done for the day they get disassembled and totally cleaned. As I always say to the other techs, no job is done till all the tools and containers are cleaned and put away, including the floor and work area.
