    Stator or Power Pack???

    Hey guys, I'm not getting spark on my 97 50esl w/remote & elec start. my previous thread solved my kill switch issue, thanks for the help! Now - How do I test to see whether the problem is the stator or the power pack? I am 99.9% sure it is not coils or plugsor plug wires, all are new.

    Can I bypass my Kill Switch?

    Hi all, Working on a 97 rude 50ESL w/ remote. Can't get any spark. I know the kill switch is frozen, can't insert the lanyard now. 2 days ago I could. Can i bypass the kill switch on the motor? can I rig a kill switch if I need one? Thanks for any help.

    motor ran great, untill I shutit down a while?

    Thanks to you guys I was able to get my 50hp rude running very well. Went Catfishing the other night. Ran well for hours, shut down for dinner break, upon restart could not exceed 2500rpms. I am not thinking it overheated, (minimum 45 minute break.) I drop back to nuetral, spike the rpms...
