    2 blade prop to 3 blade on 5.5 johnson 63

    I often wondered if you could get a little more<br />movement out of this engine if it had a 3 blade<br />prop. The reason I'm asking is because other manufacturers use3 blade props on their engines.<br />Did you ever try this proceedure?<br />Please let me know.<br />Charlie boomboom

    interchanging lower unit with 6hp to5.5hp johnson

    I have a 1963 johnson 5.5 engine, and changing the water pump always involves removing the power-head. Is it possible to use the lower unit<br />of a later 6hp motor to just uncouple the shift<br />linkage .<br />Appreciate your comments on this subject.<br />charlie boomboom
