    Blowing Ignition fuse

    I have a 78 70 hp evinrude model 70873c, keeps blowing the small 20 amp fuse which powers the ign switch.     Evinrude starter

    Hi, I need a new starter for my 1978 evinrude 70, 70873c. Part #MGD 4110. the original has 10 tooth drive. All replacement starters I can find are 9 tooth. Is this a direct replacement? Does it matter 10 teeth or 9? Thanks!

    Evinrude starter issues

    I have a 1978 evinrude 70hp, 70873c, occasionally the starter will just spin and the drive gear won't engage. I have tapped on it with a wrench and it will then engage. Would this be the starter going bad or maybe just the bendix? Thanks

    Which Trigger do I have?

    Need to order a trigger, wires on mine are shot. Merc 850, 1976. there is a straight arm and a hooked arm listed for this year engine. I can't tell which I have. The part # on the original crosses to the straight arm. Just wondering if anyone knew for sure before I ordered one... Thanks.
