    no spark

    hello everyone I know you guys will need more info buy just throwing this out there for a friend.It`s a 1998 crestliner 2660 454 (carburated) with a bravo outdrive.His problem is no spark coming out of the distributor.Checked the coil,hot on both sides w/key on,cranking still shows hot on both...

    I just bought a teleflex tach and Im a bit confused on what pole setting to use.My stator has 8 small poles and 2 larger one is that considered an 8 pole for the altenator or do you count all of them? Thanx in advance to all the gurus out there! :confused:

    wont idle

    72 rude model#50273c new water pump,stat and pop off valve,coils,head gasket,rectifier,fuel pump,plugs,all hoses and clamps.compression 142 top,144 bottom.idles on muffs fine ,put in water and it tries to refuse to idle,runs strong once you get it going.hard start at times after you shut it off...

    Lower unit oil

    I know Im not the sharpest tool in the shed sometimes but Im alittle confused Im going through the lower unit on a sears 5hp #217586614 and the owners manual states to use SAE90 "grease" Does that mean gear oil or EP grease??? :confused:
