    HOW IMPORTANT IS PROPER SPARK PLUG in 1980 4.5 hp evvy ?

    THE 4.5 I BOUGHT HAD INCORRECT PLUGS ( found out after going out several times). She ran great, but I wanted spare set as back-up.. I went to buy correct plugs last week. I found the plugs I had were hotter temp; plugs. Would that hurt her in the long run, or just add power ? The power question...

    Is 4.5hp 1980 evinrude the same as 7.5 hp,,,just bigger carb; ???

    i was checking on parts for my 4.5 & (7.5hp) parts were also showing on parts page ! I've heard sometimes engines are same block, just larger carbs; to increase hp ?
