    Boat winch/weight capabilities ?????

    I have a Mariah Diablo, 18fter and I want to replace my boat winch but dont know how much weight it should be able to pull.. 1,500 lbs, 1,800 lbs ?????? the old one doesnt say how much weight it pulls either... anyone have a clue ?

    Will this work

    I have a 18' Mariah Diablo with a mercruiser alpha 1, 130 hp. a 3 blade prop. pulls two people on a tube no prob. I want to get a wakeboard. I dont really care about perfect wake and ect... will this work for wakeboarding ? how long of a rope ?

    fiberglass boats + lightning = ????

    Does anyone know if being in a fiberglass boat while on the water makes you an attractant to lightning or are you pretty safe? Fiberglass is not a great conductor so if you lay down in the boat if you get caught in a storm would it be ok to wait it out or get the hell outta there?

    Overheated but seems fine ?

    Last year my water pump stopped working and my 3.0 alpha 1 overheated. i ran it for about 15 min total before shutting it down. At the time, it made a few ping sounds but thats it. it sounds fine now that its fixed, no leaks or problems noticed. Is there anything I should be worried about ?

    Vaseline and White Boats ?

    how does vasoline work on white boats ? I have heard that it works great on blues and reds but has anyone tried it on white ? And is the vasoline being used instead of wax or applied over wax ?

    Boat looks chalky and faded ! how do I shine her up ?

    mercruiser spark plugs ! to change or not to change, that is the question !

    Boat runs fine, but plugs look a little dirty. Plugs are 5-10 years old. not really sure. Should I replace them to prevent any issues out on the water and would new ones possibly give me better performance ? if so, what kind should i get and is it .035 or .045 for the gap ? or just leave it...
