    original omc ignition coils from 1950s

    hello--ive been told that almost all of the original equipment ignition coils on the omc outboards in the 50's and mabeb4 and after(?) fail due to age or something like that.. but the replacement coils(mfgr?) donot? anyone help clear this up for me..and do most of the models in those years use...
