    How much should a rebuild Cost?

    I know this is a redundant question but I am curious as to how much it should cost to rebuild an OMC 400?(worst case scenario aside from replacement)I ask because I have a pretty good feeling I need one and am not sure what will be cheaper,rebuild or replacement.Thanks ahead of time.

    1983 OMC 2.5 Loses power under load

    I have an OMC 2.5 Ltr in a 20' Cuddy and under a load it will loses power,It wont stall out,but there is a significant loss of power.RPM's drop and the speed drops to about 10 mph WOT.I think it is a fuel problem,but I would like a second opinion.Thanks.

    Proper carb adjustment for Rochester BC

    My subect is pretty self explanitory.I am not sure how to properly adjust my carb on my 83'2.5ltr. OMC.The manual is very generalized.Any responses would be helpful.

    is there an easier way ?

    I have a stringer outdrive and was wondering , can you remove the intermediate housing,upper and lower gearcase all in one shot.I am trying to avoid removing them individualy.The book states that you have to remove them one at a time.I hope thats not the case.

    carb info??

    I have an OMC 2.5 ltr. and am trying to find a rebuild kit for the carb.All I know is that it is a 1 barrel carb.Cant find any numbers on it.Any help is greatly appreciated.

    transom seal removal and install?

    Where can I find the proper procedure to remove and install a new transom seal on my 83 Galaxy 210CC.As you all know Galaxy has been out of business for a while now and manuals are hard to find. Thank you for all the help once again!

    cut in outdrive boot

    I was changing the oil in outdrive today and noticed that I had a 6" cut in the boot.I am really getting tired of things like this happening.How difficult would it be to mount an outboard motor on a 83' Galaxy CC.The transom should be strong enough to hold it,if not I can do some strength work...

    What outdrive is it?

    I am trying to figure out what outdrive I have, hoping its not a stringer.I have an 1983 Galaxy cuddy cabin model 210CC.It has a OMC 2.5ltr. 4 banger with OMC outdrive.I should probably repower the boat anyway,120HP doesnt move that big boat all to well.Any input is greatly appreciated.
