    just bought a 75hp merc...took it out and found out it wont idle ..if i put it in neutral and rev it runs amazing.. but soon as i try to put it in gear it stalls because it has a idle problem.. but sometimes if im quick enough i can get it in gear and it runs like a dream..just prefer it it...

    1967 Merc 20hp Bad clutch dog?

    couple weeks ago my motor was acting funny it would go just fine then radomly rev up like the prop was spinning..finnaly shut the motor off and the prop was GONE. Got a new prop and EVER sense it runs fine at idle speed and soon as i give it some gas the prop pretty much spins in the water...
