    drilling and tapping a crank

    1986 mercruiser 3.0l 4cyl IL so the keyway is a bit messed up on the crank where the damper pulley is pressed on. the damper has some play in the crankshaft so i was thinking of drilling and tapping the crank and bolting the damper on to hopefully solve this problem. what do you guys think

    hey guys im new here and i just bought a boat with a 1986 mercruiser 3.0 i/l 4 and there was water in the oil. we tore the motor down completely and found no cracks so far, possible leaking headgasket. but the #1,#2, and #3 cylinders were bored .030 over and the #4 cylinder was bored to .040...
