    4.3 eldebrock carb problems

    Put an "dont scold" 1406 Eldebrock on 4.3. rejetted to .089 primary .092 secondary pink spring 68X57 rod. Took out to run and two barrels worked fine. When I got into the four barrels it would labor. Now discussed I opened the cowling and removed the air cleaner to watch the secondaries...

    3.8(229) swap to 4.3

    I recently purchased a 83 with a mercruiser drive with water in the oil. My plan was to put a 4.3 i have in. What I did not know is the engine in the boat is a 3.8. :) Are these two engines interchangeable and if so are there any major parts that need to be purchased to make this work??? thanks
