    1988 Johnson 50hp idle

    Hi, I am having trouble getting my motor to stay running while in gear at its slowest speed. It starts and idles fine and runs well at higher speed. I had carbs rebuilt, fuel pump and primer soleniod replaced. Pease help. Thanks, John.

    1985 Johnson wont idle

    I have a 1985 Johnson 50hp that wont idle. Starts great if I choke it but dies at idle. It runs great in gear. I noticed it has a small fuel leak in hose fitting at motor. Could it just be sucking air there causing this problem? Thanks for your help.

    Primer Solenoid

    I have a 1985 Johnson 50HP. Every time I push in the key to prime engine the 20 amp inline fuse blows. I put a new primer in and still does the same. It starts and runs great when primed manually. Could this be in the key switch? Thanks for your help. I need to go fishing.

    No power at key

    I have a 1985 Johnson 50hp that has no power at the key, is there a fuse on this motor. I havepower at solenoid and starter works when jumped direct.

    Hello, I have a 1985 Johnson 50hp that has no power at the key. Starter works with direct power and solenoid has power on top. Can anyone help?
