    the idle on my 150 has increased from around 750 rpm to 1000 rpm on its on. The last time i used the motor I slow trolled for several hours, could this be the cause. I posted this back on 6/25/02 and got no responce trying again.

    I have a yamaha 150 not sure what year but it is late 80's early 90's. Engine ran fine the last time i used it which was about a month ago did a lot of slow trolling. Now when I start it up it idles about 1000 rpm.Check the linkage and it seems to be ok.

    I have a yamaha 150 early 90's don't know exact year. I am trying to find out how much volume shold the remote tank oil pump put out. I pulled the line off of mine to bleed and with the pump running it is a little more than a fast dribble.

    heat alarm

    I have a 1985 60 hp johnson that the heat alarm goes off with in 5 mins. after I start up.The motor dosen't seem to be overheating and after I turn it off and wait a few mins. and restart it runs fine. I replaced the water pump about a year ago.Does anybody have a idea what the problem is?
