hello..I have a 90 hp 1986 6cyl mercury outboard that is hard to start...it spins over really well but as soon as it fires,the ring gear kicks down and i have to try many times to get it to start...i think if the ring gear would stay engaged for another 2 seconds it would start...it starts much...
