I tried starting my 70 HP Evinrude after it sat for a year. It was slow cranking, wouldn't start, and then lo and behold, despite turning the key off, it kept cranking (slowly). I sprayed WD into the key, but that didn't work. I am using (new) deep cycle batteries with a 1 or 2, 1 and 2...
