    Merc 9.9 dies at idle runs great with throttle open

    Anyone have any issues with their motor dying at idle? My 2005 9.9 will start if I have the throttle open and if I keep giving it gas it runs great. If I let off the throttle for it to idle down it dies.

    HELP good spark and compression but cylinder not firing

    Just replaced the gear oil in my 76 johnson 9.9 and after one use the oil is cream colored. IM guessing this is the seal around the shaft leaking? I pulled several chunks of black rubber through the 6 exhaust holes on either side above cav plate, is this my shredded seal?
