    hi just got this engine starts and runs perfect except at wot it vibrates like a misfire and power does not increase from three quarters throttle to wot pulled plug leads off 1 at a time and it runs on one cylinder plugs are new but could one be breaking down at high revs or what else could be wrong

    1978 115hp cooling check advice

    not long had this engine and seller said new impeller fitted,mmm ,checked eng out on muffs and water flow seemed ok .at idle and up to around 3000rpm only wks manual in library was for 1990 on and gave 5psi at wot for water pressure.dont have gauge or water tank to run at wot and my muffs cant...

    dodgy speedo ?.what speed shhould i expect from my boat /engine set up

    just finished renovating an old 16.5 ft stebber craft boat, it is fiberglass with a clinker style planning hull weighing about 400 kilos. the speedo pick up was broken at the back and i think i kinda fixed it but not sure .when i blow down the tube it registers on the dial.the boat has a 1978...

    merc 115 hp ..how old am i ?

    just finished repairing 1982 steber 5 metre with old merc 115 hp .serial number 8075316 none of the links i have looked at so far refer to my number .would appreciate any help .it has CDI ignition tks.
