    '71 johnson 125HP overcharging

    Have a '71 Johnson 125HP, running great. Problem is, is running about 16 volts @ WOT. I had replaced the clipper & rectifier last year and it was fine. It's about 14 volts at idle. Just don't want to fry the battery or my CDI. Thanks for any suggestions.

    Cross reference piston number

    Trying to ID this piston, number cast inside appears to be 318451. Also has a M in a square in a circle. Engine 1971 Johnson 125ESL71C. Didn't know if it's a standard or oversized.

    Screw type ends for spark plug wires

    Does anyone know a source for the screw ends for spark plug wires for '71 125 hp? Was looking to make my own wire set and need the crimp end that screws into the distributor cap.

    1971 125hp power issue

    Have a '71 125hp that will throttle up in idle but lags and sometimes stalls under load. Also will not rev up like it should. Fuel pump has been rebuilt and all new hoses. Will work fine on ears out of water. Carbs have not been rebuilt yet, not sure if thats my next step or if it could be...
