    My upper gears spun on my 5.8l OMC Cobra. Apparently I need to use a "spanner tool" to get the vertical facing gear off.     Stalling when engaging reverse..help!

    Recently purchased a '91 205 four winns sundowner with a 351 OMC Cobra. Runs and starts excellent, but when I engage reverse gear it always stalls out. The previous owner said last year he took it to a mechanic for the issue and he said the linkage was gummed up. Mechanic supposedly de-gummed...
