    You should have an idle speed screw/stop to adjust your idle speed. Also, if you are Out of the Water I have found my motor to Idle higher then when in the water. As for the tach, mine came with some reflective tape I put on top of the fly wheel. SHSU

    Did you modify any of the stops on the engine or the PO? I din't trust my Tach originally and got a cheap digital laser tachometer to verify speeds. Helped me feel comfortable that my tach was reading correctly. SHSU

    Any particular reason you want a speedometer? So many free gps apps on the phone or a Fishfinder with navigation will have it as well. SHSU

    Only thing to think about is where water might pool and sit in contact with the lid. As long as there is some space for the underside to breath where it contacts the alunimum frame so water doesn't get traped for a long time you should be fine. SHSU

    Gotcha, I had hard points installed on mine and secured direct to stringers. Looked back on the pictures but didn't see any splitting. I agree though about not wanting anything to happen when out on the Great Lakes. I would love to have a boat big enough to take off shore. SHSU

    Two is better than one. Mine is a little back heavy. But that might change as I start shifting batteries around with addition of trolling motor. SHSU

    Thankfully never had dead lights. Just always believed the enigne didn't provide any recharge. Will need to check the voltage when I get it back out sometime. SHSU
