    1968 johnson 55hp tries to start but wont

    I have an old 1968 johnson 55hp TRL-10 and when I crank it over it pops but wont start. I think it might be a timing issue but I have no idea on how to set the timing on this thing. If you have any idea what it might be please help thanks.

    if its not one thing its aonther, now when i trun the key to start the motor all i hear is a knock in the power pack i think either way the starter is not turning and just a knock i thought it might be because it wasnt in nutral but it seems that this motor has to crank to get into nutral...

    hi i have a old 1968 johnson 55 that is tring to start but its spitting fuel out the prop i dont see any fuel hoses leaking. im kinda new to boat motors but im pretty good with cars not boats. so i could use some help
