    Would you?

Might work for awhile. If the drawbar is on 100%, then OK. If you take it off in Winter, it likely will rust and need fitting every year.

    hi there :)

Life is getting more and more bizarre every day.

    1959 Evinrude Lark Kill Switch

Yeah you better be careful. The water cops are out there trying to make money off of you. Just like traffic stops looking for seat belt violations.

    1959 Evinrude Lark Kill Switch

I didn't say it couldn't be done, I said I was NOT going to put one on a 70 year old classic boat.

    1959 Evinrude Lark Kill Switch

My classic Lyman has a pressure fuel tank (no fuel pump) and a manual start (recoil - no battery). The only possible way to shut it off is to retard the throttle or pull the fuel line. NOBODY is going to tell me I need a lanyard.

    1959 Evinrude Lark Kill Switch

"Required?" In my state old motors like that are grandfathered not to need them.

Got a new toy to test out eventually...

Best prop I ever ran since starting to experiment in 1968. But, of course, the pitch I selected brought the wot rpm exactly at the engine's max spec.

Weight distribution for 14ft modified vhull

A jon boat is not a modified V. A 14 footer (IMHO) is too small for a jet drive.

    hi there :)

IMHO, this needs to be stopped. The govmnt tells us when and where to go, how to think, what we can't buy, and yet non-human entities can do as they wish. The jobs, zuckerburgers and gates should all be ashamed.

    hi there :)

I don't know much about AI, but is it possible that a bot somewhere could just drop in by itself? Wouldn't some person have to direct it to a forum?

    Smart tabs.

So if you leave with the extra 50 gallons it's like having 2 extra people aboard. If that is enough to cause a huge cost penalty, well, I dunno. For me, a 15-20 mile reserve ain't good enough. But, of course, that's just me. I didn't buy a boat to save money.

    Smart tabs.

That's one way of looking at it. But if a full tank causes problems, then I suggest that the boat wasn't designed very well. I only had one boat that would not accept trim. Turned out the hull deformed over Winter due to poor storage (my fault). I'm not a fan of smart tabs, but based on...

    Would you?

The anti-rattle bracket I spoke of is to stop the drawbar from rattling inside the receiver. At least, that's what I thought we were talking about here. If the receiver is rattling because its loose itself, then I think there is a real big problem here. I have used 3 different unibody cars...

    Stern on a Lowe's boat?

If you drill thru the 2" thick portion (top of transom) you'll need bolts long enough to go thru. If the bottom bracket bolts fall below the motor mount section (where the transom is only 1/16" aluminum, you'll need to use a piece of exterior grade wood to use as a backer inside the boat.

    Smart tabs.

Been there, fixed that. If its no trim at higher speeds, Smart tabs won't help you since they won't be deployed. You truly need expensive Bennett tabs to correct your anomaly. The bottom line, though, is that you will need to deploy them at higher speeds, which is counter intuitive. Sure...

    Would you?

That should never be allowed to happen. Several manufacturers make "ant-rattle" receiver hitch attachments that keep everything tight and secure. My old Engineering professor always said: "If it is supposed to move, grease it. If not, secure it tight".

Only one VW and One Mercedes dealer within driving distance of my house. Most private garages won't work on them. My buddy who owns one says German parts are hard to come by these days. "Fix or repair daily". My son's Dodges are rust buckets. It's Mother, apple pie and Chevrolet all the way.

Jap cars were crap. Nobody wanted them. Then, the American cars went downhill, while at the same time Jap cars got better. So, american fools bought the jap cars. Now, American designers made the American cars look like Jap cars so we would buy them. Then the jap designers made them look...
