    the anti-siphon valve would be hard to pull air thru. what you are seeing is normal. did you check compression? all cylinders between 140 and 150 psi? did you check fuel pressure? 30psi?

    are you sure you have adjustable valve train? GM went to non-adjustable with the vortec heads. so if you have stock heads, you tighten down each rocker retainer to 20 ft-lb

    low pressure pump draws from tank to fuel cell. high pressure pump pushes from fuel cell to motor. the pump either runs or it doesnt. the pumps are airtex/carter units in a fuel cooler made by a heat-exchanger company.

    FYI Magneti Marelli is a Tier 1 OEM parts supplier that supplies almost all automotive brands with parts. they even supply mercruiser with fuel injectors and other bits. most Tier 1 suppliers you never heard of, however you probably have had their parts on your vehicles.

    impellers are NOT self priming. so when you fire up the boat, the whole outdrive must be under water to have the raw water pump flooded. this is why you must use a hose and muffs with enough water pressure and flow to operate the motor when on a trailer. 4000 RPM is way too low. the knocking...
