    ACR with Inverter Question

Chances are the inverter would trip before any serious damage would occur. I don't think voltage would be able to be maintained by the bank once the combine breaks for long enough to cycle more than once or twice before the inverter itself under voltage protects.... That being said if it...

    2000 Glastron 175 engine swap

I'm thinking 21p may be a little light. I'm also thinking the intake may be a poor match as well. I don't think it'll do 70s But I've been wrong before. Low-mid 60s is possible I think...

    My 84 4winns horizon 195 project.

Managed to spend a few hours on the water today as well. She's running flawless. Wanted to get some prop testing data but my new prop requires a flat anode it seems.

Got a new toy to test out eventually...

Well that was a fail. Enertia hits the high performance anode. Looks like I'll need a flat one in order to test. I did lock down my numbers for the Mirage though so I have a base line to compare to.

Bought my first boat to cut, gut and rebuild from bow to stern, including engine. Killed my back and suffered the wrath of the fiberglass demons

What are your ambient temperatures? I noticed my resin kicks a lot faster at 80Fthan 75F. At 85F I get 15 minutes of work time at 1% MEKP and 90F+ is very difficult...

Got a new toy to test out eventually...

So the new line after the boat restoration is I picked up 200 RPM at wide open with the mirage I like to run. I am seeing 45.5 MPH wide open with me and 37 gallons of fuel kissing the limiter. I want to do some more testing with the mirage to record the numbers and then swap in the enertia and...

Unrelated, this was our cook out at the plant on labor day. (I've worked every major holiday this year, I'm going to eat good if I'm stuck there).I cooked these on one of those cheap, used to be 10 dollar, disposable grills. And yes, the sausage is homemade. Buffalo chicken.

I have a resturant supply house membership through the business. I'll get the 40lb cases of leg quarters and break those down. It works out to like $0.40 per pound. Whole split breasts skin on are like $1.50 per pound. It's insanely cost effective and a significantly higher quality than what you...

For the general Tsos it's about finding a happy balance. It does need it. Am overnight was reccomended to me originally and that was too much. About half an hour is as far as I go now. And I second the thighs the way you mentioned. Cast iron slow cook to temp with nothing other then a pinch of...

Curious, how are old boats disposed of that marinas refuse to haul out?

Yes, it was a year long process to get to sinking. But once they towed it out it was detonate a couple charges and drive away. Pretty cool to watch, thing sank like a stone.

My new tank from Atlantic coastal is also epoxy coated outside. The paints/coatings seem significantly more resilient. Mostly provides a good barrier. My original tank made it 40 years uncoated, I hope to get at least that out of the new one: And my testing was for sure flawed. It was however...

I do that for thighs when I make general tso's... You literally can not over cook the meat. It'll burn what ever breading or the outside before it dries out. The only draw back on dark meat is the texture is not what you would expect. Not unpleasant but odd the first time I had it.

Curious, how are old boats disposed of that marinas refuse to haul out?

My marina had a few steel and aluminum boats that were donated to the artificial reef. They floated them out and sank them once anything dangerous was stripped. (may have been the coast guard or the DEP) The rest, including a few 50s were stripped and disposed of in a roll off. Almost got a nice...

    Glastron soft floor

Lifted directly from west system in a tech article: "With the increasing use of alcohol and other high-tech additives, we are unsure how epoxy will resist them in the future. We do know that many types of alcohol vigorously attack epoxy; we can only conclude that gasoline with a higher...

    Glastron soft floor

Ethanol dissolves most epoxy too. (Chemical reaction, no way around it) There are however a handful that are fuel rated. Unlike poly it needs pretty sustained contact to fail. But I've seen and dealt with enough to not trust it for a repair or to coat. The stuff that works isn't cheap. :ROFLMAO:
