You mean like the people that get their home subsidized by being able to write off their interest? I don't have kids so I guess I am subsidizing everyone else's kids education.

    New Stuff on Vehicles likes/dislikes

I can tell when a car is coming that the lights shining towards that car are dimmed considerably. Can't say I have been on the receiving end of the Rivian headlights and it would have to be Gen 2 which started in late 2024...

    New Stuff on Vehicles likes/dislikes

On my Rivian, it doesn't really have auto dimming. The Rivian has adaptive headlights which means the headlight is made up of multiple pixels so it only lowers the brightness of the pixels aiming toward the oncoming vehicle or pedestrian, so you still have full power for the pixels aimed at the...

Yep...they even call it the bank on my electric bill. The excess even pays the baseline connect fee so the bill is zero. The payback is around 5 years where I live. I am also insulated against future rate hikes which essentially makes the payback a little sooner. I am lucky that I am with a...

I had to look it up since I never saw mention of it. Apparently there were a few vehicles in 2022 that had an improperly torqued fastener on the control arm. These were Gen 1 vehicles. I have a Gen 2. This is one of the most comfortable vehicles I’ve ever driven. It has an air suspension where...

    Best rust loosening material

Cut them off. I would never use old rusted hardware on something like that. Plus, my time is worth more that spending time trying to get rusted bolts apart. This is why I own a plasma cutter.

    Building a '93 Caravelle 1750 Classic Bowrider

To be clear, grease goes on the inside of the bellows where the nose of the drive goes into.

    Building a '93 Caravelle 1750 Classic Bowrider

On the bellows where the nose of the drive presses against it...that is grease only...no adhesive. There is also no way the bellows lifted from the lip by tilting the drive. The nose of the drive keeps it in place.

    Building a '93 Caravelle 1750 Classic Bowrider

When was the last time you pulled the drive and checked for water in the bellows. bearing condition and drive alignment? You should be doing this annually or at least semi annually.

    Time to replace tires?

LOL...you are wrong. They are not a franchise. I wouldn't let Walmart even look at my tires let alone mount and balance them.

    Time to replace tires?

Trailer tires(ST) do have to meet DOT standards hence the reason they have the DOT marking on the tire!

    Time to replace tires?

LOL...you are thinking about GY Marathons. GY Endurance was introduced late 2017 or early 2018 and are made in the USA. Marathons used to be made in the USA but their quality went down once they started making them in China.
