    Look carefully around the shaft supports. Evinrude does HAVE a friction adjustment. If there is a adjustment screw or bolt. Loosen it completely . To force the motor to swivel around. 2 BIG guys can make the difference.

    I would never use compressed air into the PICK UP tube of the tank. There should be a VERY FINE MESH filter on the end of the pick up tube. POOF goes the filter. Then anything can get sucked up.
